Strange Case, Grandpa Killed by Chicken Attack

A man in Ireland has died after being attacked by a chicken. The Brahma cockerel, a race from the United States, lives around his house. How did it happen?

As quoted by us from the Independent, Friday (17/2/2023) not long ago a man named Jasper Kraus who lived in Killahornia, Ireland, was attacked by a chicken. His landlord, Corey O'Keeffe, testified that he heard Jasper screaming in pain.

Then, Corey saw blood flowing from his leg, and there was a gaping gash on his calf. Even Jasper was already bathed in his own blood.

So, Corey immediately contacted the hospital, treated Jasper's leg wound, and did CPR for 25 minutes before the ambulance arrived. Jasper regained consciousness for a moment and said the word 'rooster' softly.

Unfortunately, Jasper's life could not be saved. According to the attending physician, Jasper died of a heart attack, triggered by the rooster's attack. During the autopsy, the victim's face was covered in dried blood and also several other body parts.

The victim's daughter, Virginia Guinan, said that her father had been sick for a long time and took a lot of medicine. At the time of the incident, he saw traces of blood all the way to the chicken coop. "So it must be the chicken (the culprit)," he said.

What's more, the rooster had also attacked its chicks before. Not explained how the fate of the chicken now. According to a team of scientists from Organic Feeds, chickens can indeed act aggressively.

"Roosters in particular, act aggressively because they see you as a threat or want to make them dominant over you," writes Organic Feeds.

"Aggressive behavior in chickens can be automatic, genetic or hormone-related and can even be learned from you or other chickens. To deal with violent chickens, remember that your ultimate goal is to be the most dominant in the flock," they added.
