Breast milk is the best milk for a newborn baby. Besides offering their nutritional needs, body milk also has antibodies to keep them healthy. But not all mothers are able to offer body milk and formula milk as a substitute. It is also expensive and still not comparable to natural milk.
BBy a company from the United States announced their success in producing breast milk in powder form. Previously, there were several efforts to produce breast milk in powder form, but important nutrients were lost during processing. BBy breast milk powder is processed using a special condenser equipped with a laser system.
With breast milk stored in powder form, it allows hospitals to offer the best milk for babies who do not have a mother or whose mother is unable to breastfeed. It also saves storage space in the ward and can be stored longer. In powder form, this milk can last up to six months.
BBy is conducting trials in the United States to offer breast milk in powder form to 17 hospitals. Milk donated by mothers is collected every two weeks to be processed into powder. When needed, only hot water needs to be added and it can then be given to the baby like regular milk.
