The Oryon CPU was shown today on the Snapdragon X Elite chip which Qualcomm says is the most powerful mobile computer chip on the market right now. With this high performance, it is interesting when Qualcomm CEO, Cristiano Amon announced that Oryon CPUs will be used in their mobile device chips released in 2024.
The Oryon will replace the Kryo CPUs used in the current Snapdragon 8 and Snapdragon 7 series. Because of its high power, it is not extreme to predict Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is the first mobile chip that will use Oryon. After this it is possible that Android mobile devices will finally be able to run video games developed for PC just like Apple did with the A17 Pro.
Qualcomm is still a little secretive about what it will do to achieve this high performance. We'll only be able to test the X Elite's capabilities for ourselves in tomorrow's live session. Stay tuned for our first look soon.
