Cristiano Ronaldo Sued For $1 Billion Binance Fraud

Cristiano Ronaldo is a soccer player with an estimated worth of $960 million according to the Forbes list. But the Portuguese footballer's worldly fortunes are under threat after he was sued by Binance investors this morning. According to the same filed in the United States, the plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $1 billion because Ronaldo was involved in promoting Binance to the public.

Ronaldo and Binance are teaming up to launch the ForeverCR7 NFT collection at the end of 2022 which is said to be a token of appreciation for fan support. A total of 29,327 NFTs are offered at prices starting at 10 USDT. The plaintiff claims that due to Ronaldo's promotion, Binance gained public attention and is now suffering losses because Binance was involved in the misappropriation of their investments. Ronaldo's representative has yet to issue an official statement regarding the suit filed.

Binance has already been fined $4 billion by the SEC in the United States and the CEO resigned before being jailed for involvement in money laundering and dealings with Iran.
