Apple is already known for software support and security for their devices for a long time. Most recently, through the request of the authorities in the UK, Apple has now stated that they will offer minimum support for the iPhone 15 series for at least 5 years.
Apple specifies a minimum support period for their devices, and in the past, Apple sometimes offers longer support periods.
For information, this is the first time that Apple has stated this matter publicly due to legislation in the UK. Previously, Apple never said anything about the duration of software support or security.
In comparison, some manufacturers such as Samsung and Google offer up to 7 years of software support and security for their devices.
