YouTube has today announced many new features for their Premium subscribers. In addition to allowing Shorts to be watched in picture-in-picture mode, YouTube announced that they want to add more subscription plans to users around the world.
There are now three plans in Malaysia which are individual at the price of RM17.90 per month, then family for RM33.90 which can be shared with five other accounts as well as the student plan at the price of RM10.90 per month. Each of these subscriptions has no ads on videos and music, free YouTube Music and more. There is no information on what new plan to add, but one of them is the ability to share the benefits of YouTube Premium with friends.
With YouTube now canceling subscriptions for those using VPNs to get cheaper prices and muting videos for those using ad blockers, there are bound to be many looking for a cheaper or truly worthwhile subscription plan. Who knows there will be a premium plan just for ad-free and other features have to pay extra, let's all look forward to it.
