DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro has been officially launched and is said to be capable of giving competition to the GoPro Hero13 Black that was announced last week. Through it DJI offers improvements that include improved internal hardware and longer battery life. Next, able to improve the user experience in the competitive action camera segment.
The Osmo Action 5 Pro comes with a 40MP (1/1.3″) sensor that also offers an industry-first 13.5-stop dynamic range. It can also record 4K/60FPS video in low lighting with the help of built-in AI-powered SuperNight Mode. An intelligent noise reduction algorithm is also included to ensure brighter and clearer recordings. There's also a built-in Subject Centering & Tracking System feature that can automatically detect the subject and then adjust the composition to ensure it's in the frame.
Osmo Action 5 Pro is also an ideal choice for those who enjoy challenging water activities such as diving at a depth of 20-meters without the need for a protective case. The built-in color temperature sensor provided enables users to record videos underwater with true color image quality. Then the built-in pressure sensor can monitor the depth, duration and height of the water level in order to ensure the user's safety while recording.
Both the front and back screens on the Osmo Action 5 Pro have also been upgraded with larger OLED panels and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. In addition, it can be connected directly to the DJI Mic 2 Transmitter via bluetooth for more high-quality audio recording. The camera also offers 47GB of built-in storage and file transfer capabilities at speeds of up to 80MB/s via Wi-Fi 6 or USB 3.0. DJI also claims that it can record continuously for up to four hours on a single charge.
The selling price starts at RM1,799 for the standard combo and RM2,289 with various additional accessories such as Quick-Release Adapter Mount (mini), Osmo Action Multifunctional Battery Case, and Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod.
