The Sony MDR-M1 are wired headphones designed for studio use. It comes with a new pair of audio drivers, a wider frequency range and better bass capabilities. It was also developed in collaboration with top engineers in the industry, including Battery Studios Mastering Engineer, Mike Piacentini, and Recording & Mixing Engineer of Power Station Berklee NYC, Akihiro Nishimura.
Weighing only 233 grams, these headphones are designed for comfort during long-term use. Although no noise canceling system is provided, closed ear pads are used to minimize ambient noise and prevent sound leakage, thus providing high quality sound isolation. On paper these headphones are advertised as being able to offer a frequency range response between 5Hz – 80kHz. Then improves low-frequency transient response by optimizing the diaphragm while delivering well-balanced bass.
The Sony MDR-M1 also comes with two cables, a detachable cable with a stereo mini plug and an adapter. Meanwhile, another channel is shorter for the purpose of flexibility in certain uses. The MDR-M1 is also compatible with the Sony 360 Virtual Mixing Environment (360VME) service, and the selling price in Malaysia is RM1199 per unit.
