Earlier last August we reported about WhatsApp testing voice interaction features with Meta AI. Although the feature is still in the development process, WhatsApp is now reportedly fine-tuning the feature in that it will have the ability to allow users to select a voice for the Meta AI. More interestingly, this Meta AI voice selection feature is also said to be based on the voices of leading celebrities.
Although this feature is still under development, it is expected to be available to WhatsApp users in the near future. When this feature can be used later, users will be able to choose the type of celebrity voice they want including male or female voice and according to British or American accent.
Who these celebrities are remains a mystery but we previously reported that Meta paid Judi Dench, Awkwafina and Keegan-Michael Key millions of dollars to use their voices in a range of AI tools being developed.
