Last week, OM System revealed more details about their latest Micro-4/3 camera, the OM System OM-3, which will be launched at the end of this month. Last week, they revealed details about the camera.
It is equipped with a 20.4 MP BSI Live MOS M4/3 sensor paired with a TruePic X image processor. This allows it to capture up to 120 frames per second. Video recording capabilities are 4K 60p.
The camera body is made of aluminum and passes the IP53 dust and water resistance standards. The camera is also equipped with an EVF with 2.36 million dots and a 3″ LCD screen on the back with 1.6 million dots that has a hinge allowing it to be viewed from various angles to facilitate the process of taking photos and videos.
Recently, OM-System Malaysia has opened pre-orders for this camera by offering prices for the camera body only, or with a 12-45mm F4 kit lens set. The price tag for the camera body alone is set at RM8999, while the price tag for the set with the kit lens is RM10,299.
In the meantime, OM System is also offering three new lenses that can also be purchased together with this camera. They are the OM System 17mm F1.8 II lens (RM2499), the OM System 25mm F1.8 II lens (RM2199) and the OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0 IS II (RM6999).
As a pre-order promotion, those who pre-order this camera will receive a RM500 OM System lens voucher, a Lexar Professional 64GB SD card and a PgyTech wristband. The OM System OM-3 camera can be pre-ordered through official OM System distributor stores.
