Intel Is Developing Bartlett Lake CPUs With Only Performance Cores

Intel Bartlett Lake is an Intel CPU series that was previously only talked about as a series of processing chips that will be used for specific purposes such as telecommunications and internet network dominance (Network and Edge), but recently, there have been rumors that

Recently, an update to the Linux operating system has introduced support for Bartlett Lake processing chips, and through it it has been discovered that there is support for a model of the processing chip that comes with as many as 12 P-Core (performance) cores and 24 power threads.

This is quite interesting because starting with the Meteor Lake processing chips, including Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake, Intel no longer uses Hyper-Threading technology (where the number of power threads is 2x the number of built-in cores). The Intel Bartlett Lake processing chip also seems to use the LGA 1700 socket used on the previous Intel Raptor Lake and Alder Lake processing chip series, so previous Intel motherboards from the 600 and 700 series and so on seem to be able to be used with this CPU when it is launched later.

The use of P-cores alone may mean that gamers in particular will see a performance boost, but one notable drawback is the inefficient power consumption.

Rumors also suggest that Intel will start selling the Bartlett Lake CPU series around the middle of this year (July-September 2025) and may be shown off during the Computex Taipei event that will take place at the end of May.
