Acer Shows Off Test Laptop Powered by Intel Panther Lake

As we all know, Intel is expected to start introducing laptops with their next-generation thin and light laptop processor, Panther Lake, later this year.

At Computex Taipei, Acer showed off a sample laptop that appears to be powered by the processor. It comes in the form of an Acer Swift 16 laptop, complete with a 16-inch display and a very large touchpad.

Unfortunately, since the laptop is shown in a glass case, we can't see the details of the laptop's specifications, and whether or not it actually uses the Panther Lake chip, although we do know that the chip is currently being tested by various laptop manufacturers.

Intel's Panther Lake processor is manufactured using Intel's own 18A semiconductor chip building process this time, after Intel's Meteor Lake, Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake chips were manufactured by TSMC. Intel is currently reshaping their company to become not only the greatest inventor of semiconductor chips, but also a manufacturer of those components, after falling further behind companies like TSMC and Samsung.
