If you are looking for fast SSD storage for your console or desktop computer, ADATA has shown off their latest ADATA MARS series of processing chips that come with support for the latest PCIe 5.0 speeds.
This SSD series consists of three models, including the ADATA MARS 980 Blade. ADATA MARS 980 Pro and ADATA MARS 980 Storm which come with the same storage chip, but different cooling systems depending on usage patterns and needs.
All three storages use 232-layer 3D NAND storage chips and come with 1TB, 2TB and 4TB storage options and promise data read rates as fast as 14GB/s and data write rates as fast as 13GB/s and a mean time before failure as high as 2960TB.
The difference between these three memories can be seen in the cooling system used. The ADATA MARS 980 Blade comes with a thin aluminum cooling fin, while the ADATA MARS 980 Pro comes with a combination of aluminum fins and cooling fans. The most advanced model, the ADATA MARS 980 Storm, comes with a combination of cooling fans and a built-in active liquid cooling system.
At this time, ADATA has not yet confirmed when the ADATA MARS 980 PCIe 5.0 storage will go on sale.
