Just yesterday, the NotebookLM app was launched for Android and iOS, but today another new feature was introduced during Google I/O. The length of Audio Overviews, which automatically generate podcasts based on a given document, can now be controlled by the user. This can then be used to study or revise without having to read long texts.
The three options given are around 5, 10, and 20 minutes. By default, audio of around 10 minutes will be generated by Audio Overviews. Initially, the feature will only support English before being expanded to several other languages. The feature to generate Malay podcasts was just added last April, 7 months after Audio Overviews was launched.
