Digg founder Kevin Rose is now publicly bidding to take over the Pocket application from Mozilla. The partnership comes after Mozilla announced that it would soon end the service.
Pocket is a service that allows users to save links for future reference or reading. Mozilla announced this week that it would end the service, and focus more on developing Firefox itself.
At the moment, it is not known whether Mozilla will sell Pocket to the Digg founder or vice versa. For your information, Digg itself is currently in the process of being rebuilt and will be launched in the near future. The acquisition of Pocket may help in this process, as well as bring the reading community to Digg.
