Google Wear OS 6 Launched With New, More Cheerful Interface

Google launched Wear OS 6 yesterday with a focus on the new interface based on Material Design Expressive that was shown last week. Like Android 16, the Wear OS 6 interface is designed to look more cheerful, easy to understand, larger and more responsive.

The first change is the interface that grows and shrinks to fill the void on the round screen. The issue of unreadable content is solved with this reactive design. Next, when scrolling, there is a momentum animation that looks more realistic.

The interface can also be fully customized according to the chosen color theme as has been supported on Android for the past few years. Each screen also has space to place three interface elements more clearly. Widgets also look more attractive

When using the music player, the process of skipping music, pausing and playing podcast audio faster will now be fully supported on Wear OS after a long time only supporting basic controls.

More importantly, Google says Wear OS 6 delivers up to 10% battery savings compared to Wear OS 5. Wear OS 6 is now available for developer downloads before the final version is released this summer.
