NVIDIA And MediaTek May Unveil New SoCs At COMPUTEX

Last year, we reported that chipmakers NVIDIA and MediaTek would be collaborating to develop a new Arm-based CPU for use in consumer computers.

Now, it looks like the two companies will be holding their own keynote event to announce the collaboration. Earlier this year, NVIDIA showed off the NVIDIA GB10 SoC, which is a SoC focused on AI processing.

At COMPUTEX Taipei later this month, the two companies will be showing off two more new SoCs, expected to be called the N1 and N1X, specifically for consumer-class desktops/laptops.

As before, the two chips will combine a MediaTek SoC and an NVIDIA GPU, expected to use their latest Blackwell GPU.

The collaboration is expected to enter a market currently dominated by AMD with their APU lineup, and Qualcomm, which is also trying to enter the same market with their Qualcomm Snapdragon X SoC.

Meanwhile, although the announcement regarding these processing chips will be made during the COMPUTEX event, it seems that products that will use these NVIDIA and MediaTek SoCs will only start arriving on the market around 2026 due to existing production constraints.
