Nintendo Switch owners have long had to be patient if they lose a Joy Con. Search until you find it or just buy a new controller. But on the Switch 2, the Joy Con 2 controller will vibrate and make a sound to make it easier to find.
This feature to find a lost Joy Con 2 is similar to the Apple Find My and Google Find Hub features. This feature is called Search for Controllers. When activated, a sound will be made and if one of the Joy Con 2 shoulder buttons is pressed, it will vibrate the motor on the Joy Con 2 that is being searched for.
For this feature to be used, the lost Joy Con 2 must have a battery and be within the Bluetooth tethering range of the Switch 2. So the process of finding a lost controller must be done before it runs out of battery. There is no information whether Nintendo is using UWB technology that is already supported by Android and Apple devices because it makes the process of finding lost items easier.
