Xiaomi PU7 Launched – Electric SUV With 690PS Motor

Xiaomi has launched its first electric SUV, the Xiaomi PU7, as a competitor to the Model Y in China. Xiaomi’s second electric car model is offered in three variants, namely the PU7 Standard, PU7 Pro and PU 7 Max.

The PU7 Standard model is equipped with a V6S Plus electric motor that offers 288 kW of power and 528 NM of torque at the rear with an output of 312PS. The PU7 Pro and PU7 Max models are equipped with dual motors with an output of 496PS and 690PS respectively.

Depending on the model, it can travel up to 833km, accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.23 seconds and have a top speed of 253 km/h. The 800-volt charging system used can charge 10–80 percent in 12 minutes and 620 km of range can be added in just 15 minutes.

The front design is similar to the SU7 with an aerodynamic front hood and lights that make a “face” like a shark. The elongated brake lights are used on the entire rear as if it were a hybrid of the Dodge Charger and Aston Martin design. For self-driving needs, the NVIDIA Drive AGX Thor computer system is the brain of the PU7 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is used to control the vehicle’s infotainment system.

Xiaomi PU7 will be sold starting in July but the prices of all three models have not yet been announced after the launch.
