Disney and Universal have joined forces and filed a lawsuit against artificial intelligence-based image generator Midjourney. The lawsuit is filed because Midjourney infringed on copyright, while ignoring requests to stop it.
The lawsuit also alleges that Midjourney has used and distributed characters from series such as Star Wars, the Simpsons and others through artificial intelligence-based generation. Midjourney is also said to have infringed on copyright.
The lawsuit was filed in the United States. It is not yet known when the trial in this matter will take place.
