Fujifilm has announced its latest mirrorless camera model, the X-E5, at an event in Shanghai. The camera comes with various improvements over its predecessor while still maintaining a compact and lightweight design.
The Fujifilm X-E5 is equipped with a 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and is paired with the X Processor 5 processor. The combination allows the camera to capture images with better detail, faster processing, and enhanced video capabilities. The camera supports 6.2K 60FPS resolution video recording and 4K at 60FPS, suitable for content creators who prioritize visual quality in a camera design that is easy to carry.
The camera also has an improved autofocus system that now uses AI technology with intelligent subject detection. It allows the camera to track people and animals more accurately. The 3-inch touchscreen on the back also retains the design that can be tilted for convenience when shooting photos or videos from different angles.
In addition, the Fujifilm X-E5 also supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, data transfer and charging via USB-C port and support for UHS-II SD memory cards. The Fujifilm X-E5 will be available in Malaysia starting at RM6,998 for the body only. For the package with the XF23mm lens, it will be sold at RM7,998. As of now, the official date for the pre-order session has not yet been announced.
