As the next crop of cilita ulam, or perhaps with only a few months left for this year where electric vehicles are sold at retail prices without import taxes, Leapmotor through the Leapmotor C10 offering is now updating the price which also brings upgraded specifications. If last October it was first sold at a price of RM 149,000, 8 months later they announced the readiness of the updated model at a price of RM 125,000.
The Leapmotor C10 is an SUV-class electric car that has a 69.9 kWh LFP battery that provides a travel distance of 424 KM WLTP, with an electric motor that provides power of 214 hp allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h as fast as 7.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 170 km/h. DC charging is as high as 84 kW allowing for fast charging of 30-80% in 30 minutes
For this year's model starting this month, the Leapmotor C10 will also bring a 32-liter 'frunk' front storage space, 11 kW AC charging which replaces the 6.6kW AC charging on the previous model, allowing for 30-80% AC charging in just 4 hours, compared to around 6 hours previously.
Furthermore, it is also equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), different interior color options, such as black interior color replacing the 'Midnight Aurora' color or 'Camel Brown' color replacing the 'Criollo Brown' exterior color. However, it still retains the same textile finish, which is OEKO-Text Standard 100.
Priced at RM 125,000, the Leapmotor C10 is a class D SUV at a price that is usually offered for the C class, and will come with a warranty of 6 years or 150,000 KM mileage and also a battery warranty of 8 years or 160,000 mileage, whichever comes first. With the new price and new specifications, it now seems that we will see more electric cars around RM 120,000 becoming the choice of consumers.
