OnePlus 15 May No Longer Use Hasselblad Branding for Camera System

OnePlus is expected to introduce its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 15, at the end of this year and skip the number 14 due to concerns that it is a number that is seen as “unlucky”. Not much is known about the specifications of this device until now, except for the high probability that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

Recently, several reports have come out saying that there will be some major changes to the device, especially in terms of the camera system built into the device.

The most important thing is that the OnePlus 15 will no longer use the Hasselblad brand for the device. At the moment, there has been no announcement from either party about whether this branding collaboration will end, or will only be used on certain models. The collaboration between the two companies has been going on since 2021 with the OnePlus 9 device.

Another change is that the OnePlus 15 will not apparently use the round-shaped camera system design like some previous models. The shape of this new camera module is not yet known, but it seems that they will use a tri-camera system with the same 50MP sensor as before, but with periscope lens technology built in.

It has also been reported that the OnePlus 15 may come with a smaller screen display, similar to what was shown on the two premium class devices they showed, namely the OnePlus 13T and OnePlus 13s.

OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 13s smartphone which comes with a compact design but is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor chip earlier this month specifically for the Indian market after the OnePlus 13T was introduced in China a few months ago.

The OnePlus 15 is expected to be announced by the end of this year.
