Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of its latest phone, the Poco F7, which is scheduled to take place on June 24, 2025. The announcement was made via Poco's official social media channels with a simultaneous launch in India and the global market.
The Poco F7 is the base model in the latest series after the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra which were launched last March. This phone is marketed as a high-performance device in the mid-premium segment to continue the tradition of the F series which is known for its great capabilities at a competitive price.
Interestingly, the device is said to have a design and specifications that are almost similar to the previous Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. However, there is a significant difference in terms of battery capacity where the global version of the Poco F7 is expected to come with a slightly smaller 6,500 mAh battery compared to the 7,550 mAh battery used in the Indian version and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
Looking back, both the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra models have already been officially offered in the Malaysian market at competitive prices. For the Poco F7 Pro model, two options are offered with prices starting at RM2,299 (12/256GB) and RM2,499 (12/512GB). Meanwhile, the Poco F7 Ultra model, which comes with more premium specifications, is offered at RM2,999 (12/256GB) and RM3,299 (16/512GB).
The Poco F7 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip while the F7 Ultra model is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Both support a 120Hz AMOLED display, a high-resolution camera system along with 120W fast charging technology. The combination of these features makes the Poco F7 series one of the most powerful and affordable smartphones in its category so far.
