WhatsApp Introduces Advertising Support on WhatsApp Status



Meta today officially announced the introduction of advertising on WhatsApp Status. Through it, now when you view a Status share (a variation of the Stories feature on WhatsApp), you will also be interspersed with advertising displays.


WhatsApp emphasizes that privacy will also be a priority. This makes the form of ad targeting based on location – and there is no personal data for ad targeting. If a user is willing to add their WhatsApp account to the Meta Account Center, then data related to the ads they are interested in will also be taken into account in displaying ads.


Today, it is said that more than 1.5 billion users access this Status feature every day, making it one of the forms of good access platforms for businesses, especially WhatsApp Business users.


The introduction of this advertising feature will be done in stages starting today.
