Apple has filed a lawsuit against a former employee who allegedly stole confidential company documents related to Vision Pro before he moved to Snap. The lawsuit against Di Liu was filed on June 24, alleging that he moved documents related to product design, testing, supply chain strategy and new features of Vision Pro to his own cloud storage.
He worked at Apple for 7 years and held the position of senior product design engineer. He filed a notice of resignation for health reasons and wanted to spend more time with his family. However, Apple claims the real reason was that he accepted a job offer from Snap.
When an investigation was conducted on his MacBook, Apple found that he accessed the allegedly stolen files before trying to delete any evidence of it. In addition to the lawsuit, Apple wants all the stolen files returned and access to the device to ensure that they are no longer stored by him.
