Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS Teleconferencing Camera to be Offered in Malaysia for RM8800

In January 2025, Jabra, the office productivity technology company, surveyed 900 employees in the North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific markets and found that 94 percent of them felt that collaboration between colleagues was the best place to discuss new ideas.

With companies now allowing a combination of working from home and working in the office to be integrated into the new work culture, Jabra recently introduced a new teleconferencing camera, the Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS, which facilitates discussions between office workers and those who work outside the office.

VBS or Video Bar System is a webcam system with built-in speakers powered by the Android operating system, and is also an official product of the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform that allows it to be easily used with various types of teleconferencing services such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Support for Google Meet is said to be introduced in the future.

This video bar consists of two panoramic cameras that can record video at 4K resolution, a built-in speaker, an HDMI plug to connect to a screen display, and depending on the model you choose, it also comes with a display panel that allows users to control the camera settings more easily.

The Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS also comes with a built-in screen panel for basic controls, but Jabra also introduced the Jabra Control IP control screen that allows users to control these settings more quickly and smoothly.

Among the advantages that can be shown on the PanaCast 40 VBS include a 180-degree recording angle in front of the camera at close range. It is also smart enough to scan the faces of those in the meeting room and separate their faces in the teleconference window.

Not only that, this built-in camera system is also smart enough to set the recording area that you want to show in the teleconference session. This feature is useful for those who want to ensure that the office area or the meeting background is not shown during the teleconference session.

With six microphones built into the PanaCast 40 VBS, Jabra says that this teleconferencing camera system can capture each individual's voice well, and this simplifies processes such as automatic note-taking offered on teleconferencing services such as Microsoft Teams.

Jabra says that the Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS will be offered in the Malaysian market around August at the following price tags:

Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS (camera only) – RM8800

Jabra Control IP – RM4080

Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS + Jabra Control IP – RM12800
