ASUS ROG Xbox Ally to be unveiled at Gamescom – Pre-order Dates Leaked

As we all know, ASUS and Microsoft have teamed up to develop a portable console for the Xbox platform, and it’s called the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X. The console is expected to be powered by AMD’s latest mobile console processor options, the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme and AMD Ryzen Z2A.

Aside from the initial announcement made by Microsoft in the middle of this year, not much else is known about the console until now. It seems that ASUS and Microsoft will hold an official announcement event for the console during the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany which will take place from August 20 to 24, 2025.

Demo units for the console will also be on display at the ASUS booth at the event, where visitors will also have the opportunity to try out games such as Hollow Knight: Silksong, Roblox, Sea of Thieves and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.

Interestingly, August 20 is also the date when pre-orders for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X consoles will begin, with official sales around October 2025. It is also expected that the price tag for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally will be €599 while the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X will be priced at €899.

We have been told that these consoles are also expected to arrive in the local market, but the sales date is still unknown.
