Facebook Will Start Fighting Those Who Upload Inauthentic Content, Belonging to Others

Meta has now announced that they will fight accounts that upload inauthentic content – including those that use other people's content in terms of text, images and even videos.

This step is seen in an effort to reduce the problem of theft of other people's content, spam accounts. Meta says they want to overcome the problem of uploading content from other content publishers without permission, or without improvements or any changes.

Not only that, Facebook will also fight accounts that are spammy, or make fake engagement on the platform. Meta also warns not to include signs from other applications on the video, such as logos and so on.

Accounts found to do this repeatedly will also have their access restricted, in addition to being blocked from Facebook's money-making program. Facebook is also testing a feature that identifies content, and then adds links to the original content.

This change is expected to be implemented by Meta in stages on the Facebook platform.
