Google Gemini users are now given a new feature to convert static images into videos starting today. The Google Veo 3 model is activated on Gemini with videos up to 8 seconds long that will be generated complete with matching audio. Previously, videos could only be generated using a prompt written by the user.
According to Google, this video generation feature from images is already accessible to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra customers using the Gemini application or the web version in several countries first. Unfortunately, I tried it this morning and Malaysia is not among the countries where this feature is accessible.
So far, 40 million have been generated using Veo 3 through the Gemini and Flow applications. The Veo 3 model was launched last May during the Google I/O event. It is capable of generating short videos that look more realistic complete with matching audio.
