Intel Unison Smart Device Sync App for Windows OS Shuts Down

If you’re like me, someone who doesn’t really care about the smart device and computer ecosystem, but wants to easily sync your devices to your computer, Intel has previously introduced the Intel Unison app for Windows OS.

The app allows those using Intel-powered computers to quickly and easily sync their Android and iOS devices to their computers for file transfer purposes, see device notifications on your computer, and use your smart device as an additional display for your computer.

Earlier this year, Intel announced that they would be ending support for the software, and now, its service has finally been officially discontinued. And now, support for the app has finally been discontinued, and Intel has said that you will have to find a new device syncing software to use.

If you use the Microsoft Windows operating system, specifically Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft has already come up with their own built-in offering, called Windows Phone Link. It also supports connections to both Android and iOS devices.

Interestingly, Intel also says that the Lenovo Aura series laptops are the only laptops that can use this Intel Unison software. No reason was given, but it is the only computer brand that supports this technology right now.
