Samsung is expanding its F-series lineup by introducing a new budget model, the Galaxy F36 5G, for the Indian market. The device offers some interesting features including long software support and basic features that are usually found on their more expensive devices.
The device comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This is paired with an Exynos 1380 chip along with memory options of up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. It also runs OneUI 7 (based on Android 15) with support for six generations of Android and security updates.
A 5000mAh battery is used that supports a 25W charging system, but the charging head is not included in the purchase box. The camera setup includes a 50MP main (OIS), 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro while the front camera is 13MP. Both cameras also support 4K video recording, along with several smart features like Object Eraser, Image Clipper and Edit Suggestions.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C and NFC support with Tap and Pay functionality. The Galaxy F36 5G is priced at Rs 17,499 (~RM 857) (6/128GB) while the 8GB + 12GB model is priced at Rs 18,999 (~RM931). Color options include Coral Red, Luxe Violet and Onyx Black.
