Today Tesla finally opened a restaurant with a drive-thru movie and built-in charging station that Elon Musk promised since 2018. It is located in Santa Monica, California with the restaurant offering classic American diner food complete with retro design.
The Tesla Diner is also equipped with 80 Supercharger V4 chargers, making it the largest Supercharger charging station in the world, according to Tesla. There are two giant screens placed in the parking lot. Tesla owners can project the content being streamed in the vehicle directly to these two screens, providing an experience like being in a drive-thru movie theater.
The diner menu consists of burgers, fries, steak and milkshakes. If the children's menu is ordered, it will be delivered in a Cybertruck-shaped box. Food can be ordered directly from the vehicle using a new app before arriving at the Tesla Diner. In addition to the classic restaurant experience, customers can also see the Optimus robot working in the restaurant.
Elon Musk said at X, if there is an encouraging response, more Tesla Diners will open in major cities around the world.
