Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Reportedly Won't Receive Plus Model

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 were just launched last week at Unpacked. Although the devices are still new, there have been rumors about the Galaxy S26 series to be launched in January next year. According to a report by The Elec, the Samsung Gaalxy S26 series will not be offered with a Plus model.

Instead, only the Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra models will be offered to customers. With this, users will only be offered the most premium Ultra version with the largest 6.89″ screen, a device with a compact 6.27″ screen and a third device with an ultra-thin body and a 6.66″ screen.

According to The Elec, this is based on components that began to be ordered through the supply chain before the device's production began. This year, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the most popular model in the Galaxy S25 series. After several years of offering recycled devices, next year Samsung can no longer be forgiven for doing it again.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is still limited to a few markets with a reported lackluster reception. Personally, I really like the Galaxy S25 Edge because it's light and thin but still feels premium in the hand, but the battery capacity is too small. Next year if a larger battery can be offered, maybe the Edge series will finally receive a response.
