As the world's largest social media and short video sharing platform, TikTok is seen constantly introducing new safety features and functions to ensure that users and content creators always feel safe when using the app.
Recently, TikTok has introduced a number of safety and community features not only for content creators and sellers, but also for parents of children who are active on the platform.
For parents, TikTok has updated the Family Pairing feature which previously came with about 50 safety features to ensure their children do not watch inappropriate content, and can only communicate with certain accounts.
It will be updated with new functions such as notifications when a connected child account has uploaded new content that can be seen by other users on TikTok. Parents can also see if the content on that account (for teenagers 16-17 years old) can be downloaded or if their follow list is publicly visible.

For creators, TikTok has also introduced a number of new features that make it easier to moderate and control their communities. These include:
Creator Care Mode – Helps account owners filter out offensive and inappropriate comments
TikTok Live Mute Feature – This feature allows account owners to prevent certain words and phrases from being used during TikTok Live broadcasts
Content Check Lite – Uses AI to check if content is appropriate to display on the For You Page
Creator Inbox – A messaging page that is now cleaner and easier to navigate for creators who receive a lot of messages
Creator Chat Room – A chat room that can be created for followers of creators with large followings (over 5000 followers)
