The BlueSky social media platform now has 38 million registered users. This is a significant increase compared to the 30 million users announced last January.
This surge shows positive reception among users who are increasingly open to trying alternatives to regular social media platforms.
BlueSky offers a Twitter-like experience but with the advantage of allowing users to switch between services without losing content.
BlueSky was originally an internal project of Twitter before it was separated as a separate entity. This increase in the number of users is also believed to be driven by changes that occurred in the X application (formerly Twitter) which is now felt to be less relevant by some users.
Apart from BlueSky, there are also several other alternative platforms that are beginning to gain user attention. One of them is Daun, a social media application developed entirely in Malaysia.
Daun offers a user-friendly interface, as well as using unique terms and icons based on plants including Flowers for Like. For those of you who are interested, you can download the Daun application on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store today.
