Today, one of the threats that is increasing is the use of photo and video generators, leading to various sharing of false information and info, as well as making many people deceived. In parallel, the government is now in the process of developing a specific application to overcome this problem.
The Digital Ministry, through CyberSecurity Malaysia, is currently in the process of developing an application powered by artificial intelligence, which can be used to verify the authenticity of a photo or video. This application is being developed in collaboration with the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
This step is also in line with efforts to ensure that the digital ecosystem remains safe, in addition to preventing fraud crimes from occurring. For now, it has not been shared when the application will be launched.
