Google Pixel 10 Can Switch Phone Call Language in Real-Time Using Owner's Real Voice

The real-time phone call language switching feature has been present on Samsung devices in the form of Call Assist for the past two years. It's useful, but the voice used by Galaxy AI is still not very natural. At the Made by Google event early this morning, the Voice Translate feature was shown that it can not only switch phone call language in real-time but also use the device owner's voice.

In the demo shown, voice calls in English were switched to Spanish and also from Spanish to English in real-time. According to Google, at this time Voice Translate supports English, Spanish. German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian and Indonesian.

All audio processing and language translation is done directly from the device using Gemini Nano with phone calls not recorded. Therefore, Voice Translate is only supported by Pixel 10 series devices because it requires a Tensor G5-powered TPU.
