Google today began introducing a small update to Google Docs, which allows Gemini to read the document you are currently opening. Google says this will help users absorb information better – that is, when reading while listening.
In addition, this integration is also expected to allow you to identify errors in writing. To use it, users simply need to open a document in Google Docs, and then select Audio > Listen to this tab.
For now, this feature is still being introduced in stages, and is expected to be offered to everyone in the next few days for enterprise users, education users and also for those with a Google AI Pro subscription.
