Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, which is a mid-range chip that is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 launched last year. It comes with eight CPU cores using a 1+3+4 configuration and 4nm technology.
It consists of 1x Cortex-A720 2.7GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 2.4GHz and 4x Cortex-A520 1.8GHz paired with an Adreno GPU that is also improved but its identity has not been revealed. It is most likely the Adreno 810 with an increased speed. The performance difference is 7% on the CPU and 7% on the GPU compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
The chip supports a screen with a resolution of 1,300 x 2,900p pixels at up to 144Hz, an improved Spectra ISP, camera support up to 200MP and 4K 30FPS video recording with Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), HDR10, and HDR10+.
Other specifications include an NPU capable of processing LLM Llama 1B and Qwen 1B on board, support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is no information on the first device that will use this chip.
