After being offered for a long time, StashAway has finally added a Shariah-compliant portfolio product offering for users in Malaysia. With this option, the investment portfolio will involve companies that are filtered from income based on usury, gambling, high debt, alcohol, cigarettes, impure food, weapons, and from illegal sectors.
Users only need to choose a Shariah-compliant portfolio, and then make investments without hesitation through StashAway with this introduction. StashAway says that their portfolio is advised by Masryef Advisory, one of the Shariah advisors registered with the Securities Commission of Malaysia.
StashAway through promotional materials, shows a rate of return for a Shariah portfolio between 7.3% to 14% based on returns for the past five years.
For local users who are interested, you can download StashAway via Android and iPhone, and try Shariah-compliant investments through it. Apart from StashAway, there are several other product offerings that are more or less the same, including Wahed Invest and ASNB RIA.
