A week after the Vivo Y400 4G was launched, the Vivo Y400 5G was launched again in India first. In addition to faster 5G network support, the device is also equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip which is more powerful than just the Snapdragon 685 on the 4G version.
The Vivo Y400 5G is equipped with a 6.67 AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, 8GB LPDDR4x memory, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and a 6000 mAh battery that supports 90W charging. The main camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens with a 32MP selfie camera.
The body passes the IP69 standard which is also present with a stereo audio system. The operating system used is Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Other additional features are an in-display fingerprint scanner, Google Circle to Search, AI-powered transcription and AI-powered text summarization. A little disappointing is that the device does not have NFC support.
In Indonesia, the Vivo Y400 5G is priced at ₹21,999 (~RM 1058) for 8/128GB and ₹23,999 (~RM 1154) for 8/256GB.
