WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that makes it easier for users to plan and schedule group calls. Whether it’s for a family discussion or a meeting with colleagues, users can now set a call time in advance.
Scheduling can be done by pressing the plus (+) button on the call tab and then selecting the Schedule Call option. Users can also invite individuals or groups to join the call.
All scheduled calls will be displayed in the call tab, complete with a list of participants and a call link. This link can be added to a personal calendar or shared with others to make it easier to join.
To make it easier to join a group call, WhatsApp will send a notification to each participant when the scheduled call is about to start. This allows all participants to be prepared and not miss an important call.
In addition, WhatsApp has also introduced a new way for users to express their opinions during the call. Now, users can raise their hand to indicate that they want to speak or respond spontaneously without interrupting the ongoing conversation.
At the same time, the call link has also been improved where the creator of the link will receive a notification every time someone joins the call. This feature makes it easy to monitor participant attendance and ensure smooth communication throughout the session.
As always, all private calls on WhatsApp are protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE) to ensure user security and privacy are always maintained.
