14nm Chips Return With Intel Core i5-110

Intel's upcoming processors, Intel Panther Lake and Nova Lake, will be built on their latest and most advanced 18A and 14A (1.8nm, 1.4nm) processes, which are seen as a new starting point in terms of the company's return as a giant semiconductor chip manufacturer.

But in a move that seems very strange, they have introduced a new processor, the Intel Core i5-110 which is a rebranding of the older chip model, the Intel Core i5-10400 which was built using the 14nm process.

This processor comes with six cores and 12 threads and a base speed of 2.9GHz with a Turbo Boost speed of 4.3GHz. The processor was launched recently, and according to Intel, is intended for use in computers with a price tag of around $200.

It also supports the use of DDR4-2666 memory as high as 128GB in device configurations such as computers and tablets, perhaps for companies

The introduction of this processor model using a CPU technology that is already expected to be extinct is somewhat confusing, especially when Intel's 10th generation Comet Lake and 11th generation Rocket Lake desktop-class processor series have already been discontinued.
