The iconic design of the Google Nexus 6P was the inspiration for the camera bar design on the Pixel series. Now the Pixel design has also been borrowed by the iPhone Air which was launched two days ago. After its design was leaked yesterday, the Sony Xperia 10 VII has finally been officially launched with it also using a large camera bar design on the back of the device.
The two cameras on the back of the device are arranged horizontally in a large camera bar. It is more accurate to say that the Xperia 1 VII's camera bump is rotated 90 degrees and enlarged 100%. This is a drastic change from Sony which has long chosen to have its own identity.
The device is equipped with a 6.1″ OLED 120Hz screen which is an improvement over the 60Hz only on the Xperia 10 VI. The screen is matched with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5000 mAh battery. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The main camera is a combination of 50+13 MP and the selfie camera is 8MP. The body of the device is equipped with a camera button on the right side, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers and passes the IP68 standard. The operating system used is Android 15 with Circle to Search and Google Gemini features. Sony offers 4 Android version updates and 6 years of security patches.
The device is offered in green, white and black at a price of €449 (~RM 2213) each.
