Acer Swift Air 16 Introduced – Thin and Powerful Laptop Weighing 1KG

The Acer Swift laptop series is well known as a laptop series that comes with a thin and light design, but still has very powerful processing power. Recently, during the Next@Acer event in Berlin, Germany, Acer has added another model to this series, through the Acer Swift Air 16.

This laptop comes with a 16-inch AMOLED screen display that has a WQXGA+ 2880×1880 pixel resolution with a higher 16:10 aspect ratio. This panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother screen scrolling and a brightness value of 400 nits for always bright display output.

This laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI processor, which consists of three types of CPU options, including the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, AMD Ryzen AI 7 340 or AMD Ryzen AI 7 330. In terms of memory and storage offerings, Acer says that this laptop will arrive with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

In terms of plug offerings, the Acer Swift Air 16 is equipped with two USB 4 plugs, two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, one HDMI 1.4a plug and one 3.5mm audio plug. This laptop is also seen to come with support for WiFi 6E wireless internet connections and Bluetooth 5.4.

The main uniqueness of the Acer Swift Air 16 laptop comes through its frame design, which is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy. This means that despite the large size of this laptop, Acer has managed to produce another laptop that is as light as 1KG.

In terms of battery life, this laptop is seen to come with a 50Wh battery which Acer says can last for 13 hours on a full charge and all-day use.

The Acer Swift Air 16 is said to arrive in select markets around November, at a starting price of 999 Euros in Light Silver, Fresh Blue, Steel Grey and white color options.
