Also stealing attention in the introduction of this year's new iPhone series is of course the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Both come with a new design on the rear camera of the device, in addition to various updates in terms of specifications and internal construction of the smartphone.
The Apple iPhone 17 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen. Both use a Super Retina XDR display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness reaching 3000-nits. Powering this smartphone is also the Apple A19 Pro chip, Apple's most powerful chip for the iPhone series to date.
Apple says the use of this chip along with a new smoke chamber design allows it to offer 40% better continuous performance than the previous generation. Like other iPhone series this year, it also uses the Apple N1 wireless networking chip for WiFi 7, Bluetooth and Thread.
For image recording, this series uses a combination of three 48-megapixel sensors on the rear, which combines the main camera, ultra-wide camera and also a telephoto that allows users to record quality images with 8x optical zoom. On the front, it includes an 18-megapixel selfie camera.
With a focus on “Pro” users, it also allows video recording in the form of ProRes RAW, Log 2 and genlock, supporting 4K120fps recording. Both models also allow battery charging up to 50% in 20 minutes using a high-power charger.
Like other models, it also comes with iOS 26 which includes the Liquid Glass interface, in addition to Apple Intelligence integration through it.
In Malaysia, users can pre-order starting from 12 September 2025, and will be sold starting from 19 September 2025. The iPhone 17 Pro is offered in storage starting from 256GB at a starting price of RM5499. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is offered at a starting price of RM5999, and is also offered for the first time with a storage option of up to 2TB which reaches a price of RM9999.
