Gmail Denies Sending Emails About Security Vulnerabilities

Gmail this morning denied sending emails about security vulnerabilities. Users reported receiving emails about security issues with their email accounts. It may have been a phishing attempt by someone, with Gmail saying their systems are still 99.9% secure.

However, Gmail encourages people to use password security systems like Passkeys and reports more suspected phishing attempts. Google also said security is a top priority and that they are investing heavily, constantly innovating and clearly communicating the risks and protections offered to users.
