Google Play Games Will Show Achievements and Activity Like the PS App

Video gaming 20 years ago was a social activity where you got together to play with friends. LAN parties and going to friends' houses to play Counterstrike and Pro Evo Soccer were common in the early millennials.

With more people owning their own devices, activities are now done online and meeting friends in person is becoming less common. Google will update Play Games later this month to make the first activity on Android more social.

Play Games will receive a profile feature that shows players' levels, achievements, and recent activities. The Play Games hub will also show activities done by other friends. It's similar to the social features that exist in the Sony PS App and Steam at the moment.

It will be available starting September 23 globally and October 1 in the EU and UK. For those who don't want to share activities, this feature can be turned off and private profiles will not be visible to the public.
