If you are a subscriber to the HBO Max television and movie streaming service, don’t be surprised if the subscription price increases suddenly. That’s what HBO Max CEO David Zaslav had to say during the recent Goldman Sachs Communacopia event.
David Zaslav said that the streaming service’s current subscription prices are “too cheap” when compared to the quality of the programs it currently offers. Because of this, he said that a subscription price increase is something to expect soon.
In the meantime, he also said that password sharing will be completely banned by the end of this year, in an attempt to get as many full-paying subscribers as possible.
This is also nothing new. We previously reported that HBO Max had already started testing several ways to prevent such activities, and with this announcement, it looks like it will be fully implemented in the next few months.
